Therapeutic, Emotional, Connectedness & Health (T.E.C.H.)
Our newest program launched last year (2021) in response to COVID-19. We continue to focus on the following amidst the pandemic:
- Connecting with those we love through Zoom
- Utilizing the C.A.L.M. app
- Keeping busy with movies, car racing, music etc
- Playing games on the computer
- Frozen videos/movies are very popular
- We look up healthy recipes to prepare
- There is so much singing and dancing
- Telehealth and case manager appointments
In 2021, we were awarded a little over $20,000 from the McLean County Board for Care and Treatment of Persons with a Developmental Disability (377 Board) to launch our new T.E.C.H. Program. Because this program is not funded by the state we have to seek external financial support. We are so grateful to the 377 board for their help in launching this program.
We are pleased to announce that we have been fortunate enough to receive a second round of funding for our T.E.C.H. program. We were awarded $27,000 for the 2022 year from the 377 board.
We would like to take a moment to recognize our DSP staff as they are a monumental part of the success of this program. THANK YOU! There are only a handful of them in this photo but we are grateful for each one!
